CHOOSE A SERVICE
The worship style in the first service is a little more traditional than the second service, but in both services we focus on worshiping our Lord and learning about His plan for our lives. There's no dress code, so wear whatever you're comfortable in! We offer engaging, age appropriate environments for High School, Middle School and Birth -K at the 9:30a.m. service. Below is a little bit more about what to expect as you visit FBC Beaverton.
The Worship Center (Main Services)
The doors to the worship center usually open about 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the service. But don't let that stop you from coming sooner. Come early and grab a complimentary cup of coffee and a bagel or muffin. We also offer specialty coffee, served by our friendly baristas, for a minimum charge. Our lobby has comfortable seating and a welcome center, where you can learn more about how to get plugged-in at FBC.
Once the service starts, you can expect either a fun opener or high-energy song. A host will welcome you and fill you in on how the hour will unfold. The worship leader will return with 3-4 songs to express God's love for us and our adoration for Jesus. We will take time to receive an offering for those that choose to participate and then we have a message that will be around 35 minutes or so. Our goal for each service is that you leave with a better understanding of who Jesus is and the hope that comes through having a personal relationship with Him. Each service lasts for about 60 minutes. Here is what you can expect to take place in each environment, where fantastic volunteers make every kid feel special. |
Our Preschool Environment for 6mo thru Pre-K: (9:30a.m.)
For the young ones who have matured beyond sleeping or being held, we have an engaging opening session with a couple of lively interactive songs for kids. These songs are repeated for several weeks so kids have time to learn them. For our Bible lessons, We want children to know 3 key things by the time they leave our preschool ministry…God made me, God loves me and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Our Elementary Environment for K thru 5th: (9:30a.m.)
Our elementary age program is fabulous and learning about God's love is incredibly fun and engaging here. As kids arrive, they sit down on a carpet circle and enjoy a warming up activity. We have a host personality that directs the hour which includes music, videos, games, and lessons delivered through on screen drama. Each month will have a main point that will be expressed in many different ways throughout the month. After the large group, the kids break into smaller groups to discuss and explore the main theme through some hands-on illustrations or activities. This is a time where they ask questions and learn how to live what they are learning. We then finish the hour with a review as parents retrieve their kids.
Notes: Birth though 5th grade children are register and we ask about allergies. We provide secure check-in and check-out procedures appropriate for each age. |
Our Youth Environment for 6th-12th: (9:30a.m.)
XP3 meets in the STUB (STUdent Building) is a space creatively designed for their world. The flow of the hour will move from a casual coffee house timeframe, into a structured game and 16-23 minute message that hits the issues they are dealing with throughout the week. Afterwards, the kids/teens break into smaller groups and open up with each other. There are questions that make kids laugh as well as make them really think about their choices and even their beliefs.
