First Baptist Church of Beaverton (FBCBeaverton) is a Great Commission-oriented church, with roots in the Southern Baptist Convention. Along with the five ethnic congregations they support, FBCBeaverton has been reaching the residents of Washington County through a 60-year heritage of ministry.
In 2012, God has given FBCBeaverton a renewed passion to reach our ever-changing community for Christ. To reach more people we began a much-needed and difficult process to evaluate our disciple-making and disciple-maturing effectiveness. This evaluation led to a governing restructure, a realignment of positional strategy, and an emphasis on helping people become Christ followers. We place a high value on small group community, developing the next generation of Christ followers and leaders, making an impact within our local region, and inviting our friends to take steps toward Jesus through personal evangelism. We believe there is nothing greater than the joy of being part of God's work and mission in our community, city, and world.
