CHILDREN MINISTRIES
Everything we do with FBCBeaverton Children's ministry is designed to assist all elementary age kids in finding their place in God’s Epic story. Our goal is that they would Make the Wise Choice, Trust God No Matter What, and Treat Others the Way They Want to Be Treated.
FIRST VISIT
When you arrive at FBCBeaverton KIDMIN, there will be a friendly host to greet you and walk you through the check-in process. You will want to arrive a few minutes early to register your child. If you are planning on visiting us this Sunday, we advise you to arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of the service in order to have plenty of time to check in. When you first arrive, please come to the KIDMIN Information Desk located to the west as you enter our main entrance. One of our team members will ask you to fill out a brief Registration Form. We will take your information and get your child checked into our computer system for easy access the next time you visit.
Check In Your Child
Drop Off
You will received a Pick Up Ticket for guardians and 2 name badges, one to be placed on your child and one to be given to the leader. When you reach your child’s ministry area, a KIDMIN team member will be available to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
If your child needs you during service, you will either receive a text or an attendant will come and get you.
Pick-Up
Please have your Pick Up ticket ready to present to the KIDMIN team member to pick up your child. If you have misplaced your tag, we will request to see a photo ID of someone listed on the pick-up list. We ask that you pick up your child immediately at the end of the service or study to allow us time to prepare for the following hour. If you need help or have any questions, please see our KIDMIN Check-in Team.
Safety and Security
All of our volunteers are loving, caring people who have had background and reference checks. They have submitted applications and have been through training with our FBCBEaverton staff.
All volunteers can be identified at any time by an orange name badge.
What happens during the hour:
During our service, your child will participate in Large Group time where they will participate in live worship, interactive bible teaching and game time (that ties to lesson). They will also go to Small Group for 30 minutes where their leader will facilitate discussions, application activities and prayer time.
FOR Parents
We recognize that no one has more influence over a child than his or her parents. Each year, we spend about 40 hours with your kids in church, but you spend about 3,000 unscheduled hours at home! Because of this, we believe what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. We are committed to partnering with parents by providing a plan that will give them the tools they need to support their kids spiritually.
Here are some ways we feel we can partner with you:

Here are some ways we feel we can partner with you:
- Strategy and resources to strengthen your marriage
- Take home resources to assist you in being the primary spiritual leader(s) in your child’s life.
- By providing consistent church leaders in your child’s life to be another voice of truth in their lives
- Parent Cue App. There is an app called “Parent Cue” that you can download on your smartphone. It has a summary of each week’s Bible stories and questions that you can discuss with your children at home. You also have the option to view the videos and listen to the songs that we are using in our KIDMIN services! IPhone, Android.
